Bárbara Llanes is one of the most renowned lyric sopranos in Cuba. Since childhood began his musical studies in the art of piano at the Conservatorio Alejandro Garcia Caturla, graduating years later midlevel in Amadeo Roldan Conservatory.

He studied under the Masters Roberto Valera, Alfredo Diez Nieto, Ileana Perez, Harold Gramatges and Carlos Fariñas at the Higher Institute of Art where he graduated with Gold Title specializing in composition and degree in the specialty of singing with Master Maria Eugenia Barrios. He also received master classes for interpretation of the Spanish song with Isabel Penagos, and opera and lied to Peter and the Virgin Vanderstine Zeger.

Started as a singer in the group that ran the Lyric Studio soprano Alina Sanchez, and debuted in 1999 as Violetta Valery in La Traviata and Rigoletto Gilda interprets the Opera National de Cuba.
