Born in Havana on 16 December in 1959 1940.Debuta National Concert Band conducted by Maestro Gonzalo Roig in the Amphitheatre of the Normal School for Teachers of Havana.

He studied singing and music from 1976-1972 at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow with the great singer and teacher Nina Dorleak. Study four Italian language courses in the School of Languages Abraham Lincoln. In the same period (1962-1966) and simultaneously receives four French courses at the Alliance Francaise de la Habana. From 1978 to 1980 two German language courses at the Abraham Lincoln. Study Russian during his stay in Moscow. In 2006 completed his PhD in Art with a thesis on "The Interpretation of Song Lyric Cubana".

Since 1980 singing teacher specializing in teaching this study centers such as professional development school; Carnicer Fernando, Felix Varela, and the Instituto Superior de Arte (ISA) where he is currently Professor and Head of Department of Canto.

It was the first lyric soprano who rose to the Sierra Maestra in Santiago de Cuba carrying this specialty farmers and cooperatives.
